ST. PATRICK’S DAY WORKSHOP AT THE DAYS OF ’76 MUSEUM
DEADWOOD – Deadwood History, Inc. will host a St. Patrick’s Day Workshop at the Days of ’76 Museum on Saturday, March 16, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The workshop is $6 for museum members and $11 for non-members. The workshop is suggested for students in grades K-6. Call Amanda Brown, Education Director, at 605-578-1657 for reservations or more information. Reservations are required.
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day by learning about Irish immigrants that came to the Black Hills. Students will discover how the Irish culture is still influencing the area through stories of traditions, customs, and practices. They will participate in a demonstration on how to tie Celtic Knots before creating their own Celtic Knot art project. Light refreshments provided.
The workshop is co-sponsored by the Deadwood Historic Preservation Commission, Deadwood History, Adams-Mastrovich Family Foundation, Bill Haas, The William Karl and Laura L. Haas Educational Endowment, and the Walter and Frances Green Trust Fund.
