Deadwood History Joins Smithsonian Magazine’s 15th Annual Museum Day

Free Admission on September 21, 2019, with a downloadable Museum Day Ticket

Deadwood—Deadwood History, Inc. (Adams Museum, Days of '76 Museum, and the Historic Adams House) will open its doors free of charge on Saturday, September 21, 2019, as part of Smithsonian magazine’s fifteenth annual Museum Day, a national celebration of boundless curiosity in which participating museums emulate the free admission policy at the Smithsonian Institution’s Washington D.C.-based museums.

Museum Day goes beyond getting visitors through museum doors—it acts as a springboard to empower and help advance the hopes and ambitions of the public.

“Deadwood History takes great pride in displaying world-class exhibits that not only educate visitors of all ages, but also create meaningful experiences that can last a lifetime. We invite visitors and area residents to take advantage of free admission to our museums during the Museum Day event,” said Deadwood History Executive Director Carolyn Weber.

Museum Day tickets are available to download at Visitors who present the Museum Day ticket will gain free entrance for two at participating venues on September 21, 2019. One ticket permitted per email address. A list of participating museums can be found at
