MYSTERY AT THE SNOOZEUM: DEADWOOD HISTORY’S MUSEUM OVERNIGHT

DEADWOOD – On Friday, November 15, 2019, at 6:00 p.m. until Saturday, November 16, 2019, at 8:00 a.m. children in grades 3 – 7 are invited to a museum overnight at the Days of ’76 Museum. Children must have successful sleepover experience and plan to spend the night. Dinner, breakfast, and snacks are provided. Admission for the Snoozeum is $20 per child for museum members and $25 per child for non-museum members plus tax. Reservations are required, no walk-ins. Call Amanda Brown, Education Director, at 605-578-1657 for reservations as space is limited. Parents and their children may arrive between 5:45 and 6:00 p.m. to register. Scholarships are available.

Strap on your thinking cap and help Deadwood History solve the Mystery at the Snoozeum – an overnight program at the Days of ’76 Museum. Explore the field of forensic science, use deductive reasoning to come to conclusions, and work with fellow detectives to help crack the case and figure out who shot Wild Bill Hickok in a life-size game of Deadwood Clue. Participants should bring a sleeping bag and pillow, an overnight bag with pajamas, a change of clothes, a toothbrush, and toothpaste. Children will take part in activities throughout the museum, and everyone will sleep in the Mary Adams Room.
