Family Fun Tuesdays Return to Outlaw Square This Summer
DEADWOOD – Deadwood History, Inc. (DHI) is bringing hands-on learning and engaging fun to families this summer with Family Fun Tuesdays at Outlaw Square from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. These free, family-friendly events run on select Tuesdays in June and July and are perfect for curious kids and adventurous families.
June 3 kicks things off with Old West Bingo, a western twist on the classic game complete with fun facts and prizes. On June 10, 17, and 24, kids can become archaeologists and paleontologists during Digging Up the Past, sifting through ancient trash heaps and hunting for dinosaur bones.
The fun continues in July with more interactive programs:
- July 1 – Old West Bingo
- July 8 – Hidden in the Midden (archaeology + water conservation)
- July 15– Water Conservation in the Black Hills (learn how pioneers found water and build your own guzzler)
- July 29 – Dino Dig (go on a fossil-finding mission)
All activities are held at Deadwood Outlaw Square and are completely free. No registration required, just show up ready for fun. For more information, contact Education Director Tera Richards at 605-578-1657.
