DEADWOOD HISTORY RECEIVES $1,000 GRANT FROM MDU

DEADWOOD – Deadwood History, Inc. (DHI) was awarded grant funding in the amount of $1,000 from the MDU Resources Foundation. The funding will be used to support DHI’s new natural history exhibit at the Adams Museum. The exhibit will open to the public in the summer of 2018.

DHI is excited to begin incorporating more technology and interactive activities in its exhibits. The natural history exhibit will include a microscope for viewing specimen slides, an augmented reality sandbox that allows visitors to create their own topographic landscape, a series of challenging brain-teasers, and life-size puzzles of animals native to the Black Hills.

These unique hands-on activities will provide an engaging and memorable experience for the museum visitor. The grant funding received from the MDU Resources Foundation will help make that happen.
