BOOK SIGNING AT THE ADAMS MUSEUM WITH THADD TURNER
DEADWOOD – Deadwood History, Inc. will host a book signing with author and filmmaker Thadd Turner, on Saturday, June 24, 2023, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Adams Museum, 54 Sherman Street, Deadwood.
Thadd Turner wrote the non-fiction book Wild Bill Hickok: Deadwood City End of Trail published in 2001, his screenplay The Hard Ride is inspired by his book about Wild Bill Hickok. He was a past contributing editor to the award-winning national publication True West Magazine and was a historical technical advisor for the pilot episode of the HBO® Deadwood series.
Award winning film maker, he has won two Western Heritage Awards from the National Western Heritage Museum, one Spur Award from the Western Writers of America, and has been awarded two coveted Dove Foundation Family Certifications for feature films Rodeo & Juliet and Miracle at Sage Creek. Turner has been nominated for several other film awards and has been a producer, director, screenwriter, actor, line producer, payroll accountant, production manager, or technical advisor on over two dozen films, television, documentaries, or video productions released worldwide.
Turner directed & produced feature films 2 Years of Love and Rodeo & Juliet for Marvista Entertainment released through inspirational cable network UPTV and Hallmark on Demand. He wrote and produced Miracle at Sage Creek released through Universal Home Entertainment and Starz Encore. He is currently scheduled to direct the features Diamond Rose and Cross Country Cowboy from his original screenplays.He directed and produced country music star Clay Walker’s top-ten country music video Clay Walker: Jesse James for Curb Records and directed the country music documentary Sunrise to Sunset: The Rex Allen Jr Story featuring Moe Bandy, Charlie Daniels, and Crystal Gayle. Turner played Wyatt Earp in the History Channel’s award-winning documentary Outlaws and Cowboys: The Real Wyatt Earp; and was nominated for a Golden Boot Award for Miracle at Sage Creek.
